Fieldays is like a second home to us here at D22, we set up shop for months each year helping brands like Hyundai to create exciting spaces to entice customers to engage with their brand and stand out in the crowd. The build was a full fit-out requiring custom shopfitting throughout.

Working with Hyundai we are given an empty space and challenged to make a car, truck and marine showroom and yard.
As a company we embrace the grassroots Kiwi culture of the event and help brands to connect with their customers, and showcase their brand.

MAY 2018

Creating an entire motor vehicle showroom on an empty site a month is no easy feat. The D22 team fit out a mammoth marquee as a two levelled showroom, with wooden flooring and an office space to facilitate the mass sales that Hyundai experience at Fieldays.

Within the Hyundai site we utilised the varied height of our site to differentiate the family fun brand experience from the sales side of the structure.

In the elevated section of the site we built a space for families to interact with the brand, including rally simulators, interactive games associated with the brand and a café to have a quick break from the hustle and bustle of the event. This area was fit out with Hyundai Rally being the emphasis and allowed Fieldays patrons to interact with New Zealand rally icon Hayden Paddon.

Patrons were invited into the Hyundai site with this interactive family area, and if people were interested in learning more about the vehicle the distinct areas were connected by staircase. This allowed potential customers to look deeper at the vehicles Hyundai has to offer at their own pace and avoid the feeling of being pushed into a purchase.

The D22 management team also assisted with the organisation of other teams such as landscapers, electricians and plumbers to ensure when we leave a site it is ready to go in every way.

The collaboration we offer between all of these teams along with the client, allow a smooth transition from an empty site into a fully functioning showroom.
